open your bible. to john chapter 11:25. and the heading is "Jesus Comforts the Sisters". "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."

"do you believe this?"

life is temporal. dat was the way God made it. it wasn't mean to last forever. and so lives pass by us each day and go to another place. and for some, it is a place far far better. the Bible tells us in Philippians 1:23, "... to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far..." trust in God, as His Word tells us, that a brother has left to be in a more comforting place than we have ever experienced. and there he is gonna enjoy the love of God in a more intimate basis than we have felt. he is in a far better place. in Job 13:15, "Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him..." im sure this is how he feels.

and life goes on. for the rest of us here, life has gotta go on. find comfort in the Lord our God, for He is our source of peace. in Psalms 94:19, "When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul." cry but no more, as we must trust in that God has the best arrangement for everyone of us here. and this is what had to face us.

and life goes on. think to me, its a calling for the all of us. we are glad for him that he had become a christian before he left, and losing a brother is merely temporary for we shall see him again one day. but there are many of those around us whom have not found hearing of the gospel. that is our mission. that we spread and urgently at that. and that we live our lives as if each moment were our last. cos if this was our last, or their last, it may be a loss forever.

Luke 8:8 "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

Luke 8:16 "No one lights the lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts in on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light."

have u eva been realli tired of ur identity? like dunno who i am. dunno wat im here for. den u begin to find ppl ard u dat u can model after. the cool dude in ur class smokes man. the cool girl in ur cca can realli hold her liquor. so watcha gonna do? powerpuff as well? learn how to drink but not get drunk?

but this is but an aspect of human nature. and dat is the search for indivuality. outstandingness. impressive abilities. that no one else has. its innate. cant be avoided. but haf u eva come across the fact that... by learning frm all those cool ppl, ur but becoming a part of yet another grp?

well heres a fact. some ppl tell u dat Jesus was a great name, meaning saviour of the world or wateva. dats NOT true. Jesus was actually the world's most popular name at dat point of time. juz like how mary and jane was, and how david and benjamin is now. when Jesus attended school, and the teacher was taking attendance...

"Jesus."
"Which one? The son of the weaver? Or the cook? Or the carpenter? Haha his mum even claims to be a VIRGIN. HAHA!"

dat wld be a very possible scenario indeed. and Jesus took on this identity. he was the same as everyone else. he din haf exceptional abilities like being able to play DOTA realli well, or was able to realli spot the fashion trend (although they all wore togas and robes then, but perhaps the summer collection of the latest silk robes?) Jesus was like... NORMAL. like any other kid on the block. den wat is it we're supposed to learn then?

the bible tells us "do not conform to the world" dats the lesson i wld like to bring across. Jesus was unique special and so especially JESUS cos he did not conform to the world. he did not mock the prostitute, he did not throw stones at the "sinner", he did not avoid the lepers, he did wat he shld do at the right time even on the Sabbath, by healing the blind and the lame. and wat do we do today? we mock the nerds, we judge those ard us and hurl insults at them, we avoid the ppl who need help, and we call ppl LAME. ok i haf nuttin against calling ppl lame but u get my point? living a life dat is Christ like is the most important focus we can haf. we live a life dat has dual characteristics. that wld be firstly our worldly lives: the social circles we are in, our cliques our close bunches. and 2nd wld be our christian lives. but a life wif dual characteristics does not equate to a dualistic life. we can live it as one life still. we can be cool christians too. but "christian" has to outweigh "cool". cos otherwise it wld be way uncool.

and moral of my story: pls dun buy alcohol n drink in church. i noe Jesus turned water into wine, but wine then is like... coke now? yepz :)

I believe there is always something you lack and there is always something to give thanks for, so unless you are not trying hard enough, there shouldnt be any reason why u cant plead for gods help or thank him ^_^ ... think about it, and during sharing you should just spill it haha.

Something to think about ...

Purpose,

Take some time to think WHY do u even come to church. Once you have found the main and most important reason, please think about HOW you are working on that reason and if your motives in attending church have swayed. If you are going to give your time, give it wholeheartedly, anything else comes after that. when u sacrifice to god, try to give him the best you can. Dont let other reasons cloud your judgement and coerce you to change your purpose and motive. All in all, god bless and think hard ... This is one issue i have to address and it applies to everyone including me so think hard, treat this as a warning, encouragement and a reassurance.

Ok, after thinking over the months and pondering how in the blazes would i connect up our cell group in a more unique way ... i have decided with a few other members to come up with a cell group blog. In here, i will try to make it more public, more generalised towards issues between our cell group members. think of it as a place to let loose what you want to share at the moment u are online. Im thinking over the content, AND i feel that i will include a very basic forum, although in the past forums were not popular ill try to incorporate it here. there will be a tagboard also. The blog is still in development so please bear with the lack of content.
